Passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Malton Village LTC, Mississauga in his 101st year. He was born September 12th, 1923 in Yugoslavia.
Beloved husband of the late Muriel Morell (nee: Crocker) (2014) and predeceased by Anna Maria Morell (nee: Melcher) (1966).
Loving father of Herbert (Lynda) Morell, Richard “Rick” (Arlene) Morell, Jeannie (Terry) Fitter, Brian (Linda) Leis.
Grandfather of Amy Morell-Williams (Ryan Williams), Adam (Lindsay) Morell, Trevor (Kimberley) Morell, Taylor Morell (Darryl Campbell), Sherri (Ivan) Magoci, Lesli (Scott) Kennedy, Shawn (Jeannie) Leis, Craig Leis, Shannon Leis.
Great-grandfather of Everleigh, Everhett, Ashtyn, Anthony, Alisha, Jonah, Abbey, Christian, Lillian, Lauren, and Landon.
Adam is survived by his sisters: Katharine (John) Paulini and Elizabeth “Betty” Gallaher and sisters-in-law: Edith, Elisabeth and Mary
He is predeceased by his parents Adam and Katharina and his brothers: Philipp, Friedrich “Fritz”, and Friedhelm “Fred”.
He is also missed by many nieces and nephews.
Adam and his immediate family immigrated from Europe in 1950 and he worked for G&A Masonry for over 23 years before retiring in 1982. He was an avid gardener.
The family of Adam wishes to thank the staff of Malton Village LTC-Yorkshire Home (Mississauga) for their exceptional care and compassion where he was a beloved resident and enjoyed his 4 ½ years at the home.
Adam’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm.
Funeral will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 10:30 am. A reception will follow the services in the funeral home. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery (Kitchener).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Nutrition for Learning – Waterloo Region or Alzheimer’s Society Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
