Ronald Andrew Seifred Obituary
SEIFRED, Ronald Andrew
June 25, 1931 – April 30, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Ronald (Ron) Seifred, in Kingston, in his 93rd year.
Ron, loving husband of Mary for 68 years, cherished father of Cathy Lawrynuik and her husband Steve, Lisa Brooks and her husband Mike and the late Robert Seifred (2021) and his wife Anna Kelly, and proud grandfather of Christopher, Kyle, Thomas and Alyx Lawrynuik and Erin, Emma and Alanna Brooks.
Ron grew up in Montreal, where he met and married Mary, started their family, and founded the clothing company Pauli with his brother Eddy Seifred. Ron and Mary moved their family to Kingston in 1971 and established Bayview Automotive Ltd., a business he successfully ran until he retired. Ron was a quiet family man who loved boating, star gazing, exploring Canada in the tent trailer, woodworking, and collecting every tool ever invented! His gentle presence and good humour will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 11:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3 Briscoe St., Amherstview, followed by a reception in the church hall. Rite of Committal service will then be held at the Cataraqui Cemetery for the family. For those who wish, donations in Ronald’s memory may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
