MCCALPIN, Morris Elwood
November 19, 1924 – March 16, 2024
Morris Elwood McCalpin passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at the Helen Henderson Care Centre Lodge. He was 99 and very proud of it.
Morris was predeceased by his wives, Reta (Hitchcock) McCalpin and Pearl Curl; his brother Earl (late Jane) and nephew Paul McCalpin. He is survived by his son Jack (Bonnie); his grandchildren Trevor McCalpin (Erin) and Michelle Shorey (Dave); and his great-grandchildren Willa and Everett McCalpin and Jack and Quinn Shorey. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Whyte (late Fraser), nephew Perry McCalpin (Cathy) and niece Lynda Whyte.
The family would like to thank Erin Woodcocks and the staff of the Helen Henderson Lodge for their excellent care and compassion over the past 5 years and especially during this past week.
A visitation will be held at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 10:30 – 11:20 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 am. Interment will take place at Cataraqui Cemetery. A reception will follow in the James Reid Reception Centre.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Glenburnie United Church, 1028 Unity Road, Glenburnie or a charity of your choice.
