Marilynne Edith Florence Condie Obituary
Lynne passed away in Kingston at the Providence Care Hospital on August 18th, 2024. She was born in Campbellton, New Brunswick on August 26, 1938.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Roy Condie. Lynne will be deeply missed by her daughters; Debra, Joanne and Gail, sons-in-law; Pierre and Michael, grandchildren; Keith and Bonnie, great-grandsons; Owen and Quinn, and sisters; Peggy, Penny, and June.
Lynne and Roy moved to Baie Comeau, Quebec in 1958 where they raised their three loving daughters. Lynne taught elementary grades for many years at the small English school. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed the children’s clothes including graduation dresses. She was a kind, caring lady who loved life and family gatherings.
Always up for an adventure, Lynne travelled with a sense of wonder and joy. She was very active, enjoying walking and cross-country skiing. Later in life, Lynne kept fit swimming and at the gym. She enjoyed gardening, particularly at the Kingston home they retired to in 2000.
Lynne had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. She was a great cook and baker; the sweet tooth running strong in the family.
There will be a celebration of life at 11:30 am at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, followed by an inurnment at Cataraqui Cemetery on September 6th, 2024. Please enter through the rear doors.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or UHKF – Providence Care Hospital.
