Joel Douglas Robinson Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joel Douglas Robinson at the age of 53 on October 23, 2024, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Joel fought valiantly against his illness with remarkable courage and grace. He left us peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Joel will be deeply missed by his devoted wife April and their cherished daughter Skye and stepdaughter Michaela. He is survived by his mother Karen, father, sister, and brother. Joel was blessed to have the unwavering support of his extended family including father- in- law Gerry (Lynn), brothers-in-law Gerry (Vickie) and Thomas (Madison), uncle Roger (Margaret), Aunt Heidi (Don), nieces, nephews, cousins and so many special friends including his long-time friend Ted (Malo).
Born on October 2, 1971, Joel will be remembered for his commitment to his family and his desire to enjoy the simple things in life. He was happiest outdoors and felt a profound connection with nature. He played various sports during his lifetime and loved to hike, golf and fish. He was a wonderful cook and had a remarkable talent for creating delicious meals.
Joel was a dedicated employee at Chadwick Engineering Ltd. for 25 years. He is fondly remembered by his many colleagues and industry connections.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Kingston General Hospital Cancer Centre for their care and kindness throughout Joel’s journey.
For memorial donations, please consider the UHKF (The Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or Canadian Cancer Society in Joel’s name, honoring his fight and the hope he held for a cure.
