Busterd, Dr. Irene Audrey – Peacefully at her home in Collins Bay, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in her 97th year. Predeceased by parents Raymond and Julia (nee Smith) and sister Barbara (Doug). Irene will be dearly missed by her niece Jane (Mark), nephew David (Mona) and their daughters Venus, Hazel and Clare. She will be missed by her cousins and extended family.
Irene loved gardening and was very fond of books and crafting. During her career as a librarian, Irene was in charge of Children’s Hour on Saturdays at the Calvin Park Public Library, reading to the kids and doing crafts.
A Visitation will be held at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston from 1:00 pm to 1:50 pm on Monday, April 15, 2024. A Funeral Service Celebrating Irene’s Life will take place in the Chapel at 2:00 pm, with a Reception to follow in the Reception Centre. If desired, donations in Irene’s memory to a charity of choice would be welcomed by her family.
