On Saturday, December 2, 2023, in Kingston, Gary Wayne Thompson, dear husband for 56 years of Judy A Thompson (nee Grant). Only son of the late Albert & Audrey Thompson. Godfather of Jacob & Katherine Burley, Rachael E. Chadwick.
Also remembered by Carmen & David Grant, Rhonda & Steven Grant, Nieces, Laura (Greg), Amy (Guillaume), and Great Nieces & Nephews Ceylon, Jacob, Annie & Arthur.
At Gary’s request cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Gary’s life will be held on April 20, 2024 at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd. Visitation will take place from 12:00 pm to 12:50 pm. Service in the Chapel at 1:00 pm. A Reception will follow in the James Reid Reception Centre. As per Gary’s instructions, black and/or dark colours are not to be worn. The brighter the better! The Reception is to be up-lifting with favourite memories remembered and exchanged. The Memorial Service will be livestreamed. To watch the Service, please CLICK HERE.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The University Hospitals Kingston Foundation – K.G.H. Urology Department – Centre for Advanced Urological Research or, The World Wildlife Fund would be welcomed by his family.
