Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, in her 65th year. Best friend, and beloved wife of 34 years to Ronnie. Devoted Mother to Taylor (Tyler) and Cooper (Mitch). “Glo” (Grandmother) to Lyla, Easton, Wrenley and Larkyn. Dear daughter of Margaret Malkin, and the late Thomas Hough. Cherished sister to Patty (David) TJ (Cheryl) Kirkland, and Duff. Sister-in-law to Maurice (Denise) Linda (Orville) Paul, and Denise (Gerry).
A Queen’s University graduate, a self-employed business analyst, wife, mom, and grandparent are a few of Kathy’s greatest accomplishments. An avid gardener and reader, world traveler, nature enthusiast, with a passion for cooking, pickleball, yoga, hiking, and sipping a glass (or two) of her favourite wine. She adored the water and was happiest when she was in it, on it or just enjoying the view. Nothing made Kathy happier than spending time with her friends, and family- especially her grandchildren. Kathy was a vivacious, kind, strong-willed woman, who spoke her mind, laughed loudly and loved fiercely. She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 5th from 1 to 5 PM at the Equinelle Resident and Golf Club, 140 Equinelle Drive, in Kemptville.
Special thanks to the caregiving staff of Dr Nair and oncology team at the Ottawa Hospital, and the palliative care team of Dr Zakhem, and Dr Tuck at the Kemptville District Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, the Kemptville Salvation Army Community Services, and the Kemptville District Hospital are greatly appreciated.
