Peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, with her family and most importantly, her 7 grandchildren by her side, Dianne passed away Sunday, November 12th, 2023 at the age of 79. Loving and devoted Mother to Greg (Kim), Jennifer (Don), and Kristy (Dave). Reunited with her predeceased infant daughter Patricia and her beloved, devoted and caring husband Tom, whom she missed so dearly. Her pride and joy were her 7 grandkids and will be so sadly missed by Kyler, Trent, Mak, Zach, Halle, Olivia and Addyson. She was a big part of all their milestones, special occasions, and never said no to a family dinner or outing. She always wanted to be part of all of their lives and moments. She was their rock and so active in their lives. She was only a FaceTime call away. Dianne was predeceased by her loving parents George and Jackie Milne and by her loving In-laws Gerald and May Smith. She will be greatly missed by her caring and devoted sister and best friend Carol-Anne (Mike), they shared so many amazing memories, their trips, the lake, and their Rockin’ Johnnies breakfasts. She was predeceased by her loving sister Sylvia (Brian). She will be fondly remembered by her in-laws Barb, Jimmy (Barb) and all her adored nieces and nephews. All her extended family and cousins, she was so grateful to be able to speak to them and see them often. They carried a special bond. She will be missed by all her Bradley friends she made there the past two years and by her special bestie June.
Her family and friends were her greatest joy and passion, she also enjoyed her childhood years at their cottage in the bay, Cottage life at Mink Lake, Sailing (NSC), Years at Rideau Lake in Westport, years of her Kemptville bowling league, swimming at Kanata wave pool, many family trips, travels in their fifth wheel, impromptu trips to the casino and her favourite breakfast at Rockin’ Johnnies.
Friends and family are invited to visit the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) Ottawa, on Thursday, November 16th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 17th at 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 44 Rothesay Drive, Kanata. Special thanks to the Queensway Carleton Hospital – Dr.Wu, Dr.Wei and all the wonderful Nurses (Addison). In memoriam donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and to CMHA (Canadian Mental Health Association) would be appreciated.
