It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our dearest Joan who passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the age of 87. Devoted wife to Ronald George Gautby to whom she has been lovingly married to for 67 wonderful years. Cherished mother to Bradley (Dorothy) Gautby, Lorna (Clayton) Fearon, Brian Gautby and Alison (Stephen) Payne. Proud grandmother to Michael (Jessica) Gautby, Lindsay (Tyler) Gore, Kristi (Ashley Kennedy) Tapp, Matthew (Karolina) Tapp, Ashley Tapp, Meagan (Chris) Sicurella, Timothy Payne, Ryan Payne, Aidan (Aimee Clermont) Payne, Alyssa Payne and great-grandmother to Nicolas, Madison, Jocelyn, Olivia and Brielle. Dearly missed by her brother Michael (Joyce Zimmerman) Tymchuk. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends across Canada. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Alice Tymchuk (nee Greenaway). Joan may be gone from this world; however, she lives on in the stories and memories she has left with all those she touched during her lifetime. As per Joan’s wishes, and those of her family, a private cremation will be taking place. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333. Please go to www.smithsfh.com to sign the online book of condolences.
