Suddenly on Thursday, January 25, 2024, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Marie Fulton passed away in her 92nd year, re-joining her twin sister Shirley.
Loved and remembered fondly by her brother Bill and his wife Mary-Belle of Oakville, her sister-in-law Edna Fulton of Cambridge, nieces Mary-Lynn of Belmont, Massachusetts, Cynthia of Victoria, British Columbia, Melanie of Ayr, Ontario and nephew Geoffrey Fulton of Toronto.
Predeceased by her twin sister Shirley, her brother Archie, and by her parents William and Emma (Hopf) Fulton.
Betty was born on the farm at Lot 69, Concession D of Minto where she farmed with her sister and father. In 1967 they moved to Harriston where she and her identical twin sister worked for years at the Harriston Bakery, often confounding new customers with their identical looks, wardrobe, and “in stereo” speech. Betty was also a proud member of Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church where she volunteered her time and effort in many activities throughout the years.
Visitation will take place at the Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church, Harriston, on Monday, January 29 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Dirk Kraemer officiating.
Spring interment in Harriston Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to the Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church, Harriston, or the Palmerston Hospital would be appreciated.
