In loving memory of Lynda Marie Yvonne Brown (nee Chute) 73 years. It is with great sorrow the family announces her peaceful passing with her son by her side on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at Health Sciences North after a courageous battle with cancer.
She will be immensely missed by the love of her life and best friend, her husband of 55 years John “Jack” Brown. Cherished mother of David (Debbie), Sarah (John), and predeceased by infant son James Michael. Most loved and devoted Gram of Jayme-Lee, Carter, Emma, Cody and Seth, and great grandmother of Haylee, and Zoey. Predeceased by her parents Guy and Cecile Chute (nee Laframboise), brother Ted, and sister Gayle. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Lynda worked for many years in the town office at Capreol, until she happily retired. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and playing sports. If someone wanted to go somewhere, Lynda was always ready to go! She loved travelling, and her and Jack took many trips with their family to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico, where they met many lifelong friends and made many happy memories. She was a longtime member of the Red Hats, and always looked forward to the Friday morning breakfasts, thanks Marilyn.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cote, Dr. Herst, and especially Dr. Larsen and all the staff at the Northern Cancer Center, and Health Sciences North 4th floor north tower, for their care and kindness.
A memorial service will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home Hamner Capreol Chapel 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer on Sunday, October 20th, 2024 at 2pm. Friends may gather at the funeral home after 1pm on Sunday. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with burial at a later date in the Capreol Cemetery.
