In loving memory of George Hovi, 84 years of age passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 5, 2024, at Maison McCullough in Sudbury.
Beloved wife of Linda (nee Hyvarinen). Loving father of Philip, Andrew (Aimee), and Daniel(predeceased). Cherished grandfather to Bekah, Ethan, Bethany, Ezra, and Hannah and adopted granddaughter Rose and great granddaughter River. Dear brother of Marlene Gouge(predeceased). Sadly missed by his extended family.
George enjoyed the outdoors and spent time hunting and fishing with anyone willing to join him on an adventure. He retired from INCO in 1999 where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. He always had a smile and a handshake for everyone he met.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley Pentecostal Church in Hanmer which was his spiritual home or Maison McCullough in Sudbury where he spent his final days.
A memorial service will be held at Valley Pentecostal Church on November 9, 2024 @ 2:00 pm.
