With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family of William “Bill” Rowe announce his peaceful passing at home on Saturday November 25th at the age of 84.
Bill was married for 39 years to Dawn and their continued close friendship kept the family bond. Dedicated dad to Bill Rowe Jr (Catharine), Kim Blaskivich (Carl), Tracy England (Steve). A funny and fabulous Papa to Astasia (Steve), Casey (Alex), Madison (Brad), Brenna , Hailey, CaSandra (Ryan), Dan (Heather) and a silly Great Papa to Remi, Cali, Aubrey, Jordon, Hunter, Adelynne, Bentley, Mackley and Emerie.
Bill was blessed over the years with the companionship of Gail Fox, Mary Meyers and Rose Marie Mamuza each one held a special place in his heart and within our family.
Sports were Bill’s passion especially The Leafs, The Jays, bowling, fishing, and signing. Bill was the owner for 3 years in the mid-sixties of The Hamilton Cardinals Baseball Club. In the sixties owned and operated Bill Rowe Sports and Cycle. In the seventies owned and operated Bill Rowe Furniture on Concession Street. Bill worked in Real Estate for Frank Pauls as well as numerous years in the bowling industry. During his retirement Bill worked for Lopresti’s and Main Street Pharmacy as a delivery driver making numerous people laugh on a daily basis.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Wednesday November 29, 2023, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – Hamilton, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 11:00 am with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Hamilton.
In memory of Bill, please dress causal in your favourite sports team attire.
Following Internment at White Chapel Cemetery, Friends are welcome to join family and share memories over refreshments at Tracie’s Place Restaurant and Karaoke, 592 Upper James Street, Hamilton.
