In Celebration of

November 26, 1941 –
December 29, 2023
Salvatore Mendola
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished father and grandfather Salvatore (Sam) Mendola.
Now reunited with his beloved wife (the late Concetta), loving father of Antonina (Gonzalo), and Charlie (Lorianne). Adored grandfather of Elisia, CJ, and Marco.
Predeceased by his parents (Calogero and Antonina Mendola), and dear brother of the late Maria (the late Leonardo) Rizzo, Anna (the late Calogero) Tirone, Giuseppina (Carmelo) Licata, Enzo (Monique) Mendola, and Luigi (Zina) Mendola. Sam will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends in Canada, Italy, and the USA.
Sam was a true model of paternal strength through his profound love of family, friendship, and committed work ethic. He had the ability to always make people feel welcome and to build friendships in all aspects of life. His love for life and sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him.
Many thanks to the staff at AgeCare Willowgrove (Bayfront), and Juravinski Hospital.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 4th at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E.) from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 5th at 12pm at St. Catherine of Siena Parish (620 Rymal Road East).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
Forever in our hearts.
