Peacefully at Deer Park Villa, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 98 on September 24, 2024. Maria will be reunited with her husband Ronald Whittet.
Loving Mother of Dominic and the late Sandra Fazio, Ralph Fazio and Karen Ervin. Step mother to Lorraine and Carol-Anne of Scotland. Adored grandmother of Serena (Jason), Jeremy (Emily), Nicole (Christopher), Christina and Joseph. Loving great grandmother of Adrian, Adam, Deo, Abigail and Conor.
Stella is survived by her sisters, Maria, Nuncia and Pina. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers Gina, Dino, Michele, Beatrice, Helena and Natale. Predeceased by her parents Raffaele and Filippa.
She will be sadly missed by many family and friends abroad, including the Fazio family.
For Maria, family always came first. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking for the family, especially over the holidays.
The family wish to extend their sincere gratitude to all the staff at Deer Park Villa in Grimsby, for all their dedication, compassion and care of our cherished mother, grand mother and great grandmother. Special thank you as well to all the staff at Caroline Place in Hamilton, ON.
A private service has taken place, entombment was held at Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster,ON
