Andre Couture, a cherished devoted Catholic known for his kindness, caring and humorous personality left us peacefully on August 31, 2024, at the age of 81 years old from a brief battle of cancer.
Reunited with his beloved wife Florence of 58 years. Lovingly remembered by his children Debbie Couture, Paul Couture, Charlene Couture (Luis DeSousa). His grandchildren Clayton Markham, Carson Couture, Colby Couture, Journee Couture and his great grandson Caymn Couture. Dear brother of John Couture.
Predeceased by his much-loved granddaughter Casey Markham. Also, predeceased by his parents Maurice and Theresa, brothers Mario, Gerald and Nelson.
Andre was retired from the Ministry of Transportation as an Enforcement Officer. He volunteered for the Joy and Hope for Haiti which assisted in building schools for the children of Haiti. He also was a driver for the Cancer Assist Program (CAP), bringing patients to and from their appointments. Andre enjoyed his time at the YMCA, 50 year plus member, his men’s bible study group and his church Regina Mundi. He was so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends to spend time with whether it be meeting for coffee, riding their bikes together or watching many sporting events.
Andre’s faith in God and unfailing belief in Eternal life gave Andre courage and great peace in his final days.
Special thanks to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice and Staff. Especially Dr. Chan for the spiritual connection that he formed with Andre.

Cremation services were held. Memorial visitation Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave. Hamilton, ON. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. at Regina Mundi Church, 631 Mohawk Rd. Hamilton, ON.
