It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of René H. Breault on September 29th, 2024, at the Temiskaming Lodge at the age of 85.
René is predeceased by his father Jean-Marie and his mother Eva (née Godmaire), his brother Robert, his son Charles, grand-daughter Roxanne Godin, and great-grandson Jonah Morency.
He leaves to mourn his siblings André (late Madeleine), Gilbert (late Rosa), Jean-Paul (Betty Allard), Denis (Marie-Anna), Emile, Irene (Aimé) Plante, Albert (Lise Vandal), Diane (Peter Smith), Monique St-Onge, and sister-in-law Janine Breault.
He leaves behind the mother of his children. He also leaves to mourn his children, Yvette Letellier (Allan), Marie-Jeanne Breault Elliott (Donald), Loretta Woolley (Robert Julien), Carole Denis (Normand), Yves (Trina). He also leaves behind his adored grand-children Xavier Letellier (Jasmine), Olivier Letellier (Emily) Anne Marie Kohut (Max) Lynne Breault, Ashley Morency (Marc-André), Meaghan Woolley (Cody), Patrick Woolley (Kaylyn), Gabriel Denis (Christine), Nicholas Denis (Katreena), Nadia Breault, Sophie Breault, and step-granddaughter Madison Joliffe, He also leaves behind 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Northdale Manor staff for their extraordinary care. The family wishes to recognize Annette Beaudry Jacques and Jennifer Johnson for the exceptional assistance and dedicated support they provided to him while he resided at the Northdale Manor. The family also wishes to thank the incredible staff at the Temiskaming Lodge for the care, dedication, support and friendships created while caring for René. Their dedication extended to his very last moments. You are truly special people. The family also wishes to recognize the remarkable care provided by Fabienne Blain.
René will be remembered for his love of farming. Milking cows was never a chore for him. René also had a great affinity for horses, especially his Babe and Beauty. When he retired from farming, his new passion became wood working and doing odd jobs with his tractor. He will also be remembered for his great sense of humour, easy laughter, special moments with his family and dedication to storytelling about his farming experiences.
He will be fondly missed by all who were touched by his presence.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Buffam Léveillé Funeral Home, 251 Sheperdson Rd, New Liskeard on Saturday October 5, 2024 from 10am to 12pm for a Celebration of Life. As per René’s wishes, there will be no funeral mass.
René’s final care has been entrusted to Buffam Léveillé Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, commemorative contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Temiskaming Hospital in New Liskeard. Condolences and tributes can be left at www.buffamleveille.com
