In loving memory of Molly Blais (née Robson) who passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Temiskaming Hospital on Monday April 8, 2024 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her devoted husband Leo.
She is survived by her children Susan (Dan) McVittie, Lorrie (Ken) Montgomery and Paul. Also survived by her grandchildren Scott McVittie (Mark Baker), Jennifer (Dave) Brown, Kevin McVittie (Jessica Plante), Kenny (Erin) Montgomery, David (Megan Pilkey), Matthew Montgomery (Alex Milne), Molly Blais. Great grandchildren Landon McVittie, Mackenzie and Lacey Brown. Also survived by her sisters Anne (Keith) Windsor and Evelyn Daub and by her sister in law Margaret (late Roland) Lecoupe and many special nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth (John) Kennedy, Nancy (Ray) Jutras and by her brother Brian (Laurette) Robson.
Molly grew up in Schumacher, where she met her husband Leo. They moved to New Liskeard in 1972. They were fortunate to have celebrated 68 years of marriage. Molly enjoyed being an active member of the community, volunteering for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and being an active member of the Lioness Club for fifteen years.
She loved crafts, particularly needlework and knitting. She took great joy in gifting many of her beautiful creations. Molly and Leo enjoyed time spent at the cottage with their family where Molly was the most ruthless of card players. Even the grandchildren were not spared. They spent many years wintering in Florida, where they enjoyed socializing and golfing.
Her family meant everything to her. She loved them dearly and used her quick wit to keep them both laughing and on their toes.
The family would like to thank the staff at Northdale Manor, staff from Home and Community Care as well as Dr. Spencer Wilson, Dr Meaghen Alexander and staff at Temiskaming Hospital for their wonderful care and kindness.
If desired donations to St Pauls United Church or Care Close to Home would be greatly appreciated.
A celebration of life for both Leo and Molly, will be held at Buffam Funeral Home [251 Shepherdson Road] on Wednesday April 10, 2024 from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. Condolences and memories can be left at www.buffamleveille.com
