Jack, surrounded by his family passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital after a brief illness on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at the age of 84 years.
Jack is predeceased by his wife of 59 years Deidre Moore, by his daughter Shelley, by his parents Ernie and Janet Moore and by his brothers Tom and Brian Moore all of Shiningtree, ON.
Jack is survived by his daughters Laurie (Greg) Beaven of South Porcupine and Leslie Moore of Temiskaming Shores. Jack is the cherished grandfather of Scott and Brian Beaven of South Porcupine. Also left to mourn are his brothers Tim Moore of Coleman Township and Glen (Candy) Moore.
Jack worked many years at Canadian Tire and at Independent Grocers. He enjoyed reading, walking, fishing, cottage life, his outdoor birds and wildlife. But Jack’s greatest enjoyment was any time spent with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Temiskaming Hospital and in the emergency room. Special thanks is also extended to Dr Sayer, Dr Wilson, nurses Lori, Nessa and Kathy Swan as well as the many PSW’s.
The family of the late Jack Moore will receive relatives and friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home – Perrin Chapel [128 Whitewood Avenue, New Liskeard] on Sunday June 16, 2024 from 10 am until 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Temiskaming Hospital, the Northern Animal Rescue and Sanctuary or to a charity of your choice.
