Obituary of Jim Kelman
Jim Alexander Kelman (84) of Guelph passed away peacefully at home on Thursday November 23rd 2023.
Jim was the much loved husband of Catherine Kelman for 36 years. He will be deeply missed by his son Richard Kelman (Cris) of Lower Sackville Nova Scotia and Jimmy Kelman (Gabriella) of Halifax Nova Scotia. His step children Jarod Phillips (Phanessa) of Markham and Carrie McMillan of Guelph. Proud Grandfather of Jaden, Cavan, Marcus, Megan and Katie. Dear brother to Heather Ellis of Cambridge and Karen Jenkins of Perry Sound. Dear Brother-in-Law of John Brown, David Brown (Charlene), Glenna Prince (Don), Elizabeth Fleming, Dianne McFadzean (John), Heather Bennewies (Warren), Jamie Brown (Sandy), Andrew Brown (Janet), Robbie Brown (Jody). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Mother and Father-in-Law, Brother-in-Law Earl Ellis, Tom Prince, Ernie Fleming and Sister-in-Law Lee Brown and Nephews Travis Brown and Jim Prince.
Jim was a member of the IOF Foresters for many years and was an avid golfer and bowler and loved telling jokes no matter where he was. He drove taxi for many years in Guelph and enjoyed meeting all his customers to share a joke with and hopefully make their day a little brighter.
A visitation will be held at Brombal Funeral Home Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment following the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
