Nancy Marie Hammond (nee Pain) passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, just shy of her 78″ birthday.
Nancy is survived by her two children, Kim Fisher (John Fisher) and Derek Hammond (Michelle Morrison). Dear grandmother of Noah Hammond, Kristy Fisher, Cole Fisher and Ruby Morrison Hammond. Nancy will be greatly missed by her loving cousins Susie Sieber, Anne Pain, Janet Wallace, Peggy Pain and Doug Pain. Fred Campbell, Nancy’s special friend, will be the custodian of her beloved dog Apple. Nancy was predeceased by her parents John and Agnes Pain (nee Fortier).
Nancy had many creative pursuits in her lifetime including painting, sewing, knitting, cooking and baking. Enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Nancy’s most recent passions were her gardens and her dog.
As per Nancy’s wishes, a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Opatovsky Funeral Home – Moore Chapel, in Sundridge, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations made to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
