Neil Dorcas Obituary
Neil Ralph Dorcas
August 3rd, 1957 – March 7th, 2024
It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Neil Dorcas announce his passing on Thursday, March 7th, 2024, in his 67th year.
Predeceased by his parents Ralph Dorcas and Evelyn Dorcas (nee. Coultice). Loving father to Nicole (Tim), Michael (Jess), Lindsay (Matthew), and Leanne (Connar). Proud Grandpa to Mackenzie, Jackson, and Harper. Brother to Marilyn, Marlene, Ruth (predeceased) and Irene. “Uncle Buck” to his many nieces and nephews.
Neil was a proud graduate of the Engineering Program at the University of Toronto, and would often fondly recall his days spent in school. After graduation he began a successful sales career in the chemical industry, which gave him the opportunity to travel across Canada and the US; something he thoroughly enjoyed. He was best known for his love of football and The Toronto Argonauts (especially on Labour Day). There were a number of years where he did not miss attending The Grey Cup. He will also be remembered for the frequent Risk games, cranked up Beatles tunes, bad Dad jokes, camping trips, burned BBQ meals, epic sandwich making, and yearly trips to Canada’s Wonderland with his children.
The family will receive loved ones at the Glen Williams Town Hall (1 Prince Street, Georgetown, Ont, L7G 2X1) for a celebration of life on Friday March 15th, 2024, from 12-3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). CMHA Ontario
