Joyce Iglesias Obituary
On February 1st, 2024, Joyce Iglesias passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her 94th year.
Joyce was the cherished mother to Diane, Debbie, and Rick, a loved sister to Gerry and Eileen, and a beloved Aunt to Gail, Bev, Margaret, Susan and Michael. Joyce was a loving Nana to Carley, Casey (Matt), Colleen (Justin), Andrew, Mike (Lynette), Matt (Victoria), Graham (Julia), Jolene, & Janelle (Sean), and a beloved Great Nana to 15 children, Lilianna, Gabby, Mckenna, Kyeden, Rylee, Quinn, Aylah, Niya, Iden, Everett, Eloise, Rose, Adam, Henry, & Hayes. Joyce spoke fondly about her special memories of her parents Emile & Myrtle, her beloved husband Carlos, and her life’s journey living in Ottawa, Noranda, and Georgetown.
Joyce will be warmly remembered in the community as an active member of various sports teams, ending her sports career with Pickleball (a special mention of her Pickleball friends she spoke of often), and coaching many throughout her years in Baseball. She was fiercely strong and independent and cared deeply for her family. Nan, even in her last moments, always found a way to bring the family together. Many traditions and stories will live on through the large family she has created. We love you Nan.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice. Her close family will be gathering to celebrate her life at a later date. Please join us in sharing memories, stories, and any pictures you may have of Joyce, on this page.
