Janet Le Lievre
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Elizabeth Le Lievre, June 8, 2023, with family by her side. She leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew and cherished her.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Wes Palmer of 30 years; Beloved mother to Margaret Bowes (Grant Hash), Erica Bowes (Jason Gowen), and caring step mom to Rebecca (Jarett Schutt) and Jeremiah (Dana) Palmer). She loved her six grandchildren, Kira, Ossian, Elsie, Aubrie, Lars and Ruby who brought much joy to her life.
In her 63rd year, Janet was the eldest of three children born to Ian (deceased) and Margaret Le Lievre, along with sister, Katherine Le Lievre (Domenic Crolla) , and brother Jamie Le Lievre (Rachel Kurrein).
Janet spent the majority of her career working for 32 years at DuPont Canada. Outside of work she found solace and joy in nurturing nature through gardening. She had a green thumb and transformed her own gardens into a vibrant oasis. She was a skilled knitter and poured her creativity into knitting projects for loved ones. She led countless hikes on the Bruce Trail guiding enthusiasts on the trail and inspiring them to appreciate the beauty and serenity of the outdoors. She gave back to her community by serving on several boards dedicating her time to make a positive difference.
A Celebration of Life will be held in on November 4, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, in the Trafalgar Room – Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown. We invite all those whose live were touched by Janet to join us in honoring and remembering her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to: The Bruce Trail Association or CASHH (Cancer Assistance Services Halton Hills).
