Allan Richard Wakefield (Snake) 1953-2024
It is with broken hearts that we announced the sudden unexpected and tragic passing of our beloved father Allan Richard Wakefield on November 4, 2024, at the age of 71.
Beloved partner of Late Vonda Wakefield (2024). Loving father of Kyla Greenbird, Leslie (Missy) Greenbird, Ashley Wakefield, Shana Wakefield, Aaron Wakefield, and daughter in law Krista. Allan is predeceased by two children; a baby boy and a baby girl. Adored grandfather of Tyler, Anthony, Summer, John “JD”, Alicia (AJ), Theresa, Shayla (Robert) Legacy, Gabriella “Gabi” Xavier, Abby, Willow, Jordan, Steven, Chloe and Isabella. Predeceased by Wakefield twins. Dear great grandfather of Zelda, Rose, Betty, Mason, Amelia, and Bryant. Predeceased by Sophia and baby Greenbird-Major. Allan is survived by Ian Wakefield (Bev), Diane George, Lynda Smith (late Murray), Kathy George (Dan) and Roy Wakefield (Chris). Predeceased by his parents, John Wakefield and Joyce Brown. Loved by many of his nieces, nephews, and in-laws that he loved dearly.
Allan was a kind caring, a generous soul who always put everyone first and made sure no one went without. Allan loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grand-babies. Allan was a determined and hard-working man who, as they would say would run circles in his department. Allan loved everything to do with sports whether it was his family playing or a game on the screen. Allan was an avid collector of many items, especially his Canadiens. Allan was also known for his athletic abilities as a child. He loved travelling and singing any chance he could. Allan was the heart and soul of all family occasions never a dull moment when in his presence.
Allan will be dearly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.
Friends will be received at DENNING’S of FOREST, on Sunday, November 10th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. to Celebration Allan’s Life. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
To honor Allan please dress casually and in your favorite sports jersey.
Cremation has taken place.
