Passed away surrounded by his family at South Huron Hospital on Monday, November 4, 2024, in his 91st year. Cherished husband of Margaret (Woodburn) Baker for over 65 years. Loving dad of Tammy Preszcator (Markus), Robert and Jackie Baker, and Terry and Karen Baker. Proud grandpa of Megan (JR), Amber, Gabrielle, Dominique, Katie (Stephen), and Collin and great-grandpa of Emilia, William, Marshall, and Violet. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Betty Grenier, Irene Tyndall, Greta Baker, Marlene Turner, and Bill Woodburn (Carolyn). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Clara (Meade) Baker, and his siblings Glen, Meade, Bruce, Austin, Robert, Wanda, Clara, Gladys, John, and Murray.
Bill enjoyed woodworking and crafted many pieces. He was an avid golfer and loved to watch the horse races. Bill always had time to stop and tell a good joke. Above all, he cherished his time with his grandchildren and loved to attend their sports and activities.
A private memorial service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation with inurnment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to Stratford General Hospital Foundation or South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
