With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill on March 22, 2024, at the Erie Shores Healthcare at 97 years of age. Bill is now reunited with the love of his life Mina, who passed away in 2019. He is the proud father of Tex (Geraldine), John (Susan) and Diane O’Connor (late Jim-2022). Treasured grandpa of Tammy Weldon (Bill), Sandie Tasker (Chris), Bill (Anna), Jessica Braidford (Jason), Meghan McCoy (Matt), and Carly Mailloux (Tom). Great grandpa of Kassi, Ryan (Dezarie), Brielle, Avalene, Cale, Camden, Cohen, Myla, little angel Max (2017), Millie, Mali, Forrest, and Sawyer. Great-great grandpa of Adilyn, Everest, and Callie. Brother of the late Hendrik, Emmy, and Antje. Brother-in-law of the late John (Edid), Jim (late Audry), Ken (Linda), late Gary (Sandy), Dina (late Abel), late Alice (late Ken), Minnie (Bob), late Bert (Joan), late Peter (late Alice). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bill was a WWII Veteran who fought in Indonesia, and we sincerely thank him for his service. He retired from Chrysler 43 years ago and was a member of Unifor Local # 444. Bill loved to go hunting and fishing in his early days.
Bill is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North, Es on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at 11 a.m. Bill will be laid to rest alongside Mina at the Country Meadows Cemetery in Es.
