With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of a warm, kind mother and grandmother. Shirley passed away on January 1, 2024, in Windsor at the age of 87. She is now reunited with her husband Jack who passed away in 2009. Treasured and devoted mother to Brian and Mark (Janice) Harrison. Cherished and proud grandmother to Sabrina, Lindsay, Mackenzie, and Eric Harrison. Predeceased by her siblings, Gerald (Mary), Raymond (Doris) and Murray (Lydia). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Shirley worked at the Iler Lodge in Es for 25 years in the Kitchen Department. She was a true farm girl who had love and respect for the land. Shirley loved taking care of her flowers, plants, and her feline friends. Most of all, Shirley’s passion in life was loving her two boys and of course, spoiling her four grandchildren. Our mother and grandmother will be sorely missed, and her memory will live on in our hearts and minds forever.
A private life celebration will take place at the Kennedy Funeral Home in Es (519-776-7378). Shirley will be laid to rest with her husband Jack at Country Meadows Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Woodslee United Church. You may send your condolences online at www.kennedyfh.com
