Clem passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 15, 2024, at 88 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Meredith Jean (nee Squire). Loving father of Debra Fortowsky (Lisa), Mike (Cathy), Chris, Todd, and Diane Fecteau (Steve). Dearest grandpa of Michael, Christina, Matthew, late Justin (2023), Jennifer, Luke, and Emily. Loved brother of Wilfred Fortowsky (Gail), Marcella Nolan and the late Phyllis Fortowsky. Dear brother-in-law of Arthur (Joanne), Ted (Vicky), Bryon (Pam), Sherron Ramsay (Rod), Connie Merzaros (Ed) and Bev Camphorst (Ryan). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Clem was a member of the Es-Kent Bluegrass Association; Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters for 23 years; North American Hunting Club; Teamsters Local # 880. At the age of 18, dad was a seaman on the Patterson Fleet Ships on the upper Great Lakes. Clem was a truck driver for 44 years. He retired from International Freight Systems. Clem enjoyed spending time telling stories with all his trucker buddies over the years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and attended the Daytona 500 every year. He will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. Clem will also be remembered for his great sense of humour.
