Burrows, R.E. “Ed”
Peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Marg (Day) Burrows for 51 years. Loving father of Michelle and Derek Villemaire, Rob and Corby Burrows. Grandpa of Alexandra and great-grandpa to Myles. Son of Millie (Pinnell) Burrows and the late Bob (2007).
Brother and brother-in-law of Judy and Bill Lackner, Linda Schinkel, Bill Day, Mary Ellen and Chip Sherrer. Ed will be missed by his nieces, nephews, friends and many business associates. Ed succeeded his father Bob as owner at Burrows Signs. Ed was a member of the Elmira Legion Branch 469 and enjoyed winning at cards.
At Ed’s wish, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. at the Elmira Legion, 11 First St. E., Elmira.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or St. Mary’s Cardiac Care Centre would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
