Elizabeth (Betty) Mary MacLellan (nee Glennon)
Surrounded by the love of her family both near and far, Betty passed away peacefully, into eternal rest on April 8, 2024.
Predeceased by her loving husband Harold (1988). Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jim (Cecilia), Dan (Brenda), late Christopher (2013), Martin (Andrea), Johan Rasquinha (Deryl), Jennifer Harvey (Mark). Predeceased by her grandson Philip MacLellan (2017). Betty will be missed and fondly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Daughter of the late James T. and Mary Elizabeth (Adamson) Glennon. Predeceased by sister Kathleen (Justin) MacLellan and brothers John, Wilfred, and Domenic Glennon.
Many thanks to the staff at Amica-Stoney Creek, where Betty spent the past seven years. Special thanks to the care providers at Emmanuel House Hospice, where Betty was able to pass with the dignity in which she lived.Betty devoted her life to the Catholic Church and to God and we are comforted, knowing she will be with Our Lady for eternity.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Smith’s Funeral Home, 454 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek on Sunday April 21, 2024, from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm with Prayer Vigil at 4 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Francis Xavier 304 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek on Monday April 22, 2024, at 11:30 am. Urn interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. A reception will follow interment at Smith’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers or if so desired, donations can be made to Emmanuel House Hospice C/O The Good Shepherd or a charity of your choosing.
