Peacefully at The Windsor Retirement Residence, Amherstview on Monday April 8, 2024. Phyllis Tye, in her 96th year. Widow of Melvin Hintz. Loving mother of Cheryl (John) Blair of Kingston, Garry (Debbie) Hintz of Gananoque and Kevin Hintz of Kingston. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren; Christopher (Michelle), Darcy (Melanie), Nicole (Blair), Adrienne (Brad) as well as her 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Myrla Bailey of Joyceville. Predeceased by sisters; Velma Dorman, Eileen Byers, Gladys Burt, Mary Roantree and brothers; Howard, Ronald, Melvin, Borden and Austin Tye. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Saturday April 20, 2024 from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 o’clock. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Glenburnie. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the University Hospital Kingston Foundation-Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
