Peacefully at Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Thursday May 2, 2024. Peter William Palmer of Lyndhurst, in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Mary Ellen Moulton. Dear father of Stephanie Palmer (Doug Aitkenhead) of Belleville. Peter will be sadly missed by Bill (Penny-Sue) Moulton of Seeley’s Bay and Hal (Val) Moulton of Warman, Saskatchewan and their families, Taylor, Allyson, Cassie and Alex Moulton. Dear brother of Richard (Louise) Palmer of Ottawa, and their family.
Peter was mechanical and creative, seeing possibilities in what seemed impossible.. He was a champion for the less fortunate and had a special place in his heart for children and the elderly, a friend to all. Peter was passionate about what he believed was right. He was realistic, protective of those he loved and accepted his illness with strength and hope, always saying “One day at a time” or “It is what it is”. Memories of his days as Santa brought him great joy.
A Gathering of Friends, with a Christmas theme, will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 504, 306 Lyndhurst Road, Lyndhurst on Sunday May 26, 2024, from 2 -5 pm. A private burial will take place in Olivet Cemetery, Hwy # 32, at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Sick Kids Hospital and CHEO would be appreciated.
