Peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday October 17, 2023. Mary (Slack) Prevost of Westport, in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Linden Prevost. Loving mother of Mike (Melanie) of Westport and John (Tara) of Elgin. Dear sister of Betty (the late Bill) Kelly of Richmond, Linda (Pertti) Kivimaki of Sayward, B.C. and Arthur (Carol) Slack of Kingston. Cherished grandmother of Reese, Keelan, Jocelyn, Declan (Molly), Tynan (Cassondra) and Lachlan (Sarah). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m. Funeral Service in Our Chapel on Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, Westport. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Westport Lions Club Mobility Van Fund or the U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre) would be appreciated. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the Kingston Cancer Centre especially Dr. Mates and St. Elizabeth Healthcare Nurse, Randolph Hill for their care and compassion.
