At Perth Community Care Centre on Friday March 22, 2024. Joey (Myers) Dwyre of Elgin, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Ed Dwyre for 74 years. Loving mother of Ted (Marsha), Linda Deveaux (Don Hurd), Joe (Donna) Dwyre, Anne Dwyre (Dave Webber), Margie LeGree, Cathy (Ramesh) Ramroop, Lise Dwyre and Susie (Mark) Sly. Predeceased by sons; Chris and Steve Dwyre. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Susan Dwyre. Also predeceased by sisters; Anne, Marcella, Leona, Marion, Trudy, Teresa, Genna, Rita and by brothers; Hugh, Frank and Bill. Fondly remembered by 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by grandson; Marcus and granddaughter; Leslie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the SCOTLAND FUNERAL HOME, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Columbanus Church, Elgin on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Rite of Committal at St. Columbanus Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Columbanus Cemetery or the Elgin & Area Heritage Society would be appreciated by the family.
