It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edna on Monday November 4, 2024 at the Smiths Falls Hospital at the age of 92. Edna was the loved wife of Sterling Patterson of Forfar. She was the loving mother of Ron (Judy) of Jasper, Paul (Patsy) and Don (Karen) all of Forfar, and loving mother-in-law of Audrey of Smiths Falls. Much loved grandmother to Renee (Brandon), Crystal and Troy (Haylee) and great-grandmother to Keira, Kalyn, Khloe and Lacey. Edna was predeceased by her parents; Harold and Rose (Quinn) Norris, brothers Stanley (Phyllis) and Gordon (Doreen) Norris and son; Stuart Patterson. Edna devoted her life to the family farm, family and friends. She was a long time school bus driver and was respected and loved by all. As per Edna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private burial will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff of the PSFDH Smiths Falls Site, Dr. James Haley, and Dr. Lerato Ryan for the excellent care and compassion shown to Edna and family. Thank you to Roger, Scotland Funeral Home Elgin, for your professionalism.
