After a lengthy illness Thursday May 16, 2024. Del Bresee, at the age of 87, formerly of Westport. Beloved and dear husband of Carolyn for 36 years (together for 41). Loving father of Christine Bresee and her partner, Tom Rico. Survived by sister, Wilma (the late Ned) Winton. Predeceased by his parents, Pearl (Henderson) and William Bresee, as well as sisters; Edna (the late Glen) Croskery, Bessie (the late Donald) Hanna and brother; Robert (Barb-surviving). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Friday May 31 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service in Knox Presbyterian Church, Westport on Saturday June 1 at 1 p.m. Interment Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, Westport. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Upper Rideau Branch # 542 would be appreciated.
