It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Reg of Eganville, who
passed away May 13 at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Charlotte Neitzel. Much loved and cherished father to Ramona
& Glenn (Fiebig) of Ottawa, and Rodney of Toronto. Loving grandfather to Evan (Val) of Ottawa.
Reg was predeceased by his parents Herb & Agnes (Laginskie) Neitzel of Round Lake Centre,
and by his sister Nancy and brother Rick. Reg will be sadly missed by his brother Ron
(Deborah) of Round Lake Centre, his sister-in-law Linda Neitzel of Stittsville; sister-in-laws
Georgina Cielen and Deb (Sid) Jag Kolbuck of Winnipeg. He will also be missed by his many
nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Reg was born in Round Lake Centre, Ont. and later, after becoming an RCMP officer was
stationed in Winnipeg Manitoba where he met and married Charlotte, the love of his life. After
leaving the RCMP, Reg took an entirely different career change, based on his love of cars he
went into car sales for many years both in Manitoba and then again after moving back to
Ontario. When a new ambulance base opened in Eganville he was one of the first to apply,
serving for over 21 years. Some people may also remember many years that Reg had a wood
business at the corner of Highway 41 and 60 which he continued to work at well after his
retirement, until his health started to deteriorate.
Final arrangements entrusted to the care of Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. A celebration of
Reg’s life will be held at a mass being held at St. James the Less Roman Catholic Church in
Eganville on Friday May 24th at 11 am, followed by interment at St James Cemetery.
Family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St James the Less Church fund in

We know that God has called his Reg back home, but he’ll be forever in our hearts, until we
meet again.
