Edward Willey, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home at the age of 54. Edward was a man who found joy and peace in nature, especially in Parry Sound, his cherished haven. His happiest moments were spent in his boat, fishing rod in hand, surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors.
Edward was a meticulous and dedicated site supervisor, widely respected for his commitment to excellence and unwavering attention to detail. He brought integrity and a tireless work ethic to every project, earning the admiration and respect of his colleagues and clients alike.
Edward’s heart was his family, and he is survived by his wife, Kim Wiley (née van den Bosch), their beloved children, Emily (Jarod) Samson and Ben, as well as his dear sister, Anne, and her family. Edward’s kindness, humility, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be cherished, and his presence deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a Service of Remembrance in the Chapel at 12 p.m., with a reception to follow. Edward’s legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those he touched with his kindness, generosity, and warmth.
