Death Notice of Bert Welsh
Bertram William Welsh, of Durham and formerly of Toronto, passed away at Chapman House, Owen Sound on Saturday, August 31st, 2024 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Anne (nee Morris). Loving father of Stephen Welsh, Philip Welsh and his wife Janeen, Neil Saunders and his wife Heather, and Elaine and her husband Steve Latham. Cherished grandfather of Meagan and her husband Adriano Zappia, Eric Latham and his partner Sara, and Ryan Latham. Great-grandfather of Nevaeh, and Luca. Dear brother of Fred Welsh and his wife Barbara. Bert will be missed by Kathleen. Predeceased by his brother Tom Welsh and his late wife Audrey.
Visitation will be held at the Durham Legion on Thursday, September 5th from 12 – 12:45 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Bert’s life will follow at 1 p.m. with members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 308 participating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chapman House (cheques payable to Grey Bruce Hospice Inc.) would be appreciated by the family.
