Scott Daniel Moore
of Moorefield left this world surrounded by the love of his family, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 49. Best friend and soul mate of Amanda (Fergus) for 28 years. Cherished father of Zack, Joshua and Lily and Zoey. Papa to special babies. Dear son of Phillip and Susan Moore. Brother of Stephen Moore, Jason and April Moore, Jeremy and Karen Moore. Brother-in-law of Michelle and John Faber and Jamie and Stacey Fergus. Uncle of Meagan, Averie, Mylie, Lanie, Tyson, Bailey, Dani, Allison, Elizabeth, Lucas and 2 angel babies and the late Isaiah and the late Baby Fergus both in infancy. Great uncle of Payton, Emily and Oliver. Scott will be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by mother-in-law and father-in-law Peter and Cheryl Fergus.
Scott served on the Mapleton Fire Department for 25 years and was a Captain in the Moorefield Station. He was a best friend and hero to all.
To honour Scott’s wishes cremation has taken place.
The family will receive friends at the Moorefield Fire Hall, 5 Hillwood Drive, Moorefield on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service of Remembrance will be held in the Moorefield Community Centre, 15 Ball Avenue, Moorefield on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy donations to Camp Bucko would be appreciated by the family.
