Our dedicated mother Cynthia Staveley, died peacefully on Sept. 11, 2024 at home with her loving husband, Douglas by her side. She was 88.
A caring mother to April Hawtin (Wayne), Roderic Staveley (Carole) and Laura Gordon.
As a wife, mother, sister, aunt, Nana, great-grandmother, and sorority sister she will be deeply missed.
Growing up in Cornwall and Sudbury Cyndy chose nursing as her vocation at East General. But her calling was to raise 3 children and make a home for her family.
A generous soul and a passionate member of many charitable and life changing causes, Cyndy was involved in so many acts of good will.
We will be gathering to share our stories on Wednesday, September 26 at 1 p.m. SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight North of the QEW). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Juravinski Hospital , or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Our mother loved colour, please feel free to wear colour.
