Robinson, Paul Ross (Robbie) –
Passed away peacefully at Campbell House Hospice on Friday, March 8, 2024. Paul was the loving husband of Gayle Robinson (née Smith) for 43 years. He was the beloved father of Michael Robinson and his wife Lindsay, and Ian Robinson and his wife Natalie Lachapelle. Loving grandfather to Hunter Robinson. He is remembered by his sisters Diane Gebhart and her husband Larry, Carol Beattie and her husband Grant, and his brother Mark Robinson and his wife Jennifer. Paul will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Muriel (nee Garvie) and Cameron Robinson.
Paul spent his career as a taxi driver, driving cab #19, navigating the streets of Collingwood and forming connections with passengers from all walks of life. In addition to his work, he was a devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leaf’s. Despite their ups and downs, he always cheered them on with unwavering loyalty. Horse racing was another of Paul’s interests; he always enjoyed spending a day at the track, cheering on his favorite horse of the day. Known for his dry sense of humor, Paul had a knack for lightening up even the tensest of situations with a well-timed joke. His quick wit brought joy to those around him.
Arrangements are entrusted to Affordable Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s memory to Georgian Triangle Hospice – Campbell House, Georgian Triangle Humane Society, or Collingwood General Marine Hospital.
