Patricia Louise Lunan
Died January 19, 2024, at Campbell House in her 81st year after a long battle with Cancer and Aneurysm.
Predeceased by her parents Shirley and Forrest McKee of Nottawa, husband Dave Lunan, companion Ron Rice, sister and brother-in-law Diane and Ed Christie. Pat will be sadly missed by brother Steve (Cherilyn), Ron (Joanne) and Dave (Bea) and many nieces and nephews (the cousins).
She was a dedicated nurse for nearly 40 years, first in Toronto, then Calgary and finally twenty-five years at Collingwood General & Marine. Beyond nursing her passions were horses and dogs, spending her time tending to them or her English gardens.
Pat was a strong, capable and kind person who enjoyed her Gourmet club, her nurses group, walking her Corgis, art and classical music. Though she had no children of her own she was passionately interested in everything her nieces and nephews did. She had her share of happiness and sorrow in her life, and faced her realities with candor, humour and good grace until the end.
The family wishes to thank her friends and caregivers during these last months, with special mention to Heath Needles, Bev Blais, Dr. Kate, nurse Andrea and the staff at Campbell House.
A private service of remembrance will be held in the spring with interment at First Presbyterian Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations in Pat’s name may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
