Joan Egan (Craig)
Classy is the way most described her. Joan was the only child of James Craig & Edith (Widdup) Craig. She was raised in the Mimico area. During her school years at Mimico High School, she was the school representative for modelling at both Simpsons and Eaton’s department stores. She continued modeling after her school years in the Toronto area until she got reacquainted with her high school sweetheart John Egan. They married and had Five Boys together. Michael, Joseph, Daniel (deceased), Paul and her favorite son Mark. John and Joan remained married for 25 years until the untimely death of John in 1981. After 25 years of raising her children, Joan got back into the Fashion industry and later managed a SPA in the Gravenhurst area for the Eleanor Fulcher Modelling Agency. During these years she met and later married her second husband Ted Davy. Joan’s legacy lives on in her Grandchildren Jeff, Jenna, Daniel and Cydney. The four of them combined to generate Joan’s 4th generation legacy, providing her with seven great grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life for Joan at some point during the summer.
