It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jane Ward (nee Choak) on Monday November 18, 2024, at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital at the age of 74.
Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband Wayne (2022). She will be remembered as the loving and devoted mother of Tammy (Phil Cox), Larry, Teresa (Pat Miller), and Doug (Jen) and cherished grandmother of Stanley, Austin, Kyle, Ryan, and Landon and two great grandsons.
Jane was born in Markdale, Ontario, one of seven daughters of the late Leonard and Audrey Choak. She is survived by her sisters Rosemary Lougheed (Ab), Betty Ann Acheson (Doug) and Donna Fendlay; predeceased by sisters Lillian Lambert, Joan Plantt and Irene Harwood. She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to SickKids Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
