Griffin, Gary Thomas passed away suddenly on Friday February 23, 2024 at the age of 67. Gary will be deeply missed by his loving wife Beth (nee Burmister), his proud and very fortunate children Matthew and Melissa and cherished grandchildren Michaela Lloyd, Elijah and Olivia Goodison.
The only son born to parents the late Thomas and Laurie Griffin. He is survived by his loving sisters Gwen Griffin, Cheryll McConnell (Guy), and Lauretta Wright (Steve). Dear son in law of the late Bill Sr. and Lois Burmister; brother in law to Terry Livingstone (Michael), Lynn Pilon, Lou Burmister (Shelly), Bill Burmister (Gabriel) and Norman Burmister (Kim). Predeceased by his nephew Derek Pilon. His many nieces and nephews will remember him fondly.
Gary loved life and enjoyed travelling, the Blue Jay’s, the Maple Leafs, going to Port Elgin Tourist Park and his special place Gobles Grove Beach. He worked in retail for 50 years, 23 in his own business East End Variety. Everyone he met was greeted with kindness. He was humorous, genuine and always willing to chat.
Rest in peace, you will be deeply missed but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever. A private family funeral will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home on Wednesday February 28, 2024. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital or Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Barrie.
