It is with heavy hearts that the family of Suzanne “Sue” Quigley (nee: Bosnell) announces her passing on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the age of 74. Sue passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, after fighting a courageous battle. Sue leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Ron, her daughter Laurie (Laurie), and her son Jim (Lori). Sue is remembered with love by her granddaughters Rhianna (Justin), Alyssa, Jaedyn and Kaylee. Sue was cherished sister to David (Judi) and is pre-deceased by her brother, Dean (Trish). Sue is pre-deceased by her parents Norman and Edna Bosnell. Sue will be fondly remembered by her dear friend Gloria as well as her Florida community at Riverwalk. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Our family is incredibly proud of Sue’s strength, positivity, and the selflessness with which she lived her life. For those who knew Sue, she tirelessly put everyone’s needs ahead of her own and cared deeply for everyone in her world. Sue was especially proud of her four granddaughters and always enjoyed hearing about what was happening in their lives. During the winter months, Ron and Sue loved being in Florida and opened their condo for many visits from family and friends. Sue will be remembered, bobbing in the pool, with a smile on her face.
The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at Northumberland Hills Cancer Centre where Sue was receiving treatment, as well as the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, where she spent her last days. Your love, care, and compassion were greatly appreciated. As per Sue’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and in lieu of a memorial service, Sue has asked that you please take a moment to remember her fondly and do one kind thing for someone who needs it today. Please continue to keep Sue’s spirit alive through kindness, selflessness and love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northumberland Hills Cancer and Supportive Care Clinic.
