Peacefully at Ed’s House Hospice in Cobourg on September 23rd, 2024, Rosemary Rumsey (née Blair) died at 82 years of age. Beloved wife for 60 years of Charlie Rumsey. Loving mother of Sally Reinert (Bernie) and Charles Rumsey (Phoebe). Dear grandmother of Amy (Ryan) and Eric (Lindsay) and special great-grandmother of Ethan, Elise and Chloe Rose. Pre-deceased by her brother, Atholl Blair, and fondly remembered by her sister-in-law, Carolyn and family. Born in Northern Ireland, Rosemary emigrated to Canada with her parents in 1948. She lived a full life, enjoying time with family and friends. She was an avid reader with a passion for history and the outdoors, and she was not afraid to live and explore far from the beaten path. Thank you to Dr. Sabatini, to the nurses at Northumberland Hills Hospital and to the staff at Ed’s House for the exceptional and compassionate care provided to Rosemary and her family. No funeral at her request. If desired, donations may be made to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre, in memory of Rosemary.
